Today we visited Brook Green gardens in Murrels Inlet. Beautiful gardens, ponds, sculptures. One of the top 10 in the US and the finest outdoor museum of its type in the world. Originally 4 rice plantations, the parcel of 9000+ acres was purchased after emancipation by a hunting group and in 1930 by Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntingdon. She was a sculptor and he was one of the wealthiest men in America. Their goal was to collect, exhibit and preserve American figurative sculpture, as well as the plants and animals of theSouth east. We definitely got our steps in. Lol
