Revolutionary War began 4-19-1775 in Lexington and Concord Massachusettes. At night, British troops crossed Boston Harbor into the Mass. countryside. Paul Revere and dozens of other riders warned the colonial militia that "The British are Coming". 5am, British confronted Lexington militia on the town green. Someone ???? fired a shot and 8 militia were killed and 10 were wounded. Later that morning, colonist killed 2 British soldiers on the Concord North
Bridge. Ralph Waldo Emerson later called the deaths of the British soldiers "The shot heard round the world".
