Continuing from the museum.
May 10, 1775 Benedict Arnold and Ethan Allen led colonials to attack Fort Ticonderoga which was easily captured. Nov. 1775 Washington assigned Henry Knox to bring the captured guns from Ticonderoga to the colonial army. 10 wks. to transport 59 canons and 300 guns across frozen lakes and thru heavy snow. Knox's heroic efgort paid off and Washington dragged the canons of the "noble train" on to Dor hester and Roxbury Heights and was finally able to drive the British from Boston.
