This afternoon we visited the Mound Cemetery which is a preserved mound built by the Hopewell/Adena native Americans and served as a burial mounds for their chieftains. At the top of the mound was a plaque noting a time capsule was buried there on 7-3-1976 and is to be opened on 7-4-2076. Pretty cool! The rest of the cemetery is the resting place of revolutionary war veterans and families who had received land grants here for their service. The plaque reads "It is most fitting that many of the first settlers were buried here beside the ancient inhabitants".

Dinner with the Elks for our last night.
