Today we visited Watkins Glen State Park. Super deep gorge, lots of waterfalls, lots of steps down then up. We missed our turn around and after climbing 1000 steps, came out at a different entranc

e than where we parked. Rather than go back down those 1000 steps we thought to walk to our entrance. 1/2 a mile in we realised just how far the walk would be. Yikes! And of course no internet so no uber so......i stuck out my thumb and the second car stopped. Nice couple our age and they took us

all theway to our jeep. Angels among us!!!!

Found a cute little diner in Horseheads for lunch. And a saucy waitress. What fun!

The last pic shows a stalagtite growing on the cliff wall from ground water running. Met some really interesting people on the hike. Steve was appalled I hitched a ride. Lol
