Today we traveled to Crawfordville to visit the Alexander Hamilton Stephens Museum and Home. Lunch first at a local cafe-note the films which were made here! Most of the artifacts in the museum had been donated by local folks. The confederate flag was carried at Gettysburg. Stephens was born 1812. Rather frail and sickly all his life (thus all the medicines). He never married. He graduated from the University of Georgia and moved to Liberty to study law. Stephens was a lawyer, senator, vice president of the confederacy, governor of Georgia. He was a staunch supporter of slavery.

Beautiful sunset!
