Bitterly cold windy day. We ventured out to 2 museums. First was the civil war/railroad museum which focused on the importance of the railroads during the Civil War. Atlanta was the hub of the South. 3 major lines converged here so by destroying Atlanta, Sherman virtually cut off the confederate army from supplies. After the war railroads were rebuilt and used to ship logs north to lumber mills until those could be built in the South. Clear cut and move on. Such a shame how forests were destroyed.
Next up was the Gone With The Wind museum. One of my favorite movies. Sherman did spare the Brumby House (museum) because he and Brumby went to West Point together. Interesting stuff.
Hunkering down, 2 heaters going, supposed to dip into the teens.
