Florida 2-15-2024

Today we visited the Venetian Gardens on Lake Harris in Leesburg. Beautiful park with paved trails and canals all thru. We ran into a high school ecology class (identifying creatures) and had quite the conversation. We learned from them and they learned from us. Super cool! We definitely got our steps in today. Pictured as near as we can identify-limpkin, red musky ducks, cypress tree, baby gator, osprey, common gallinule white ibis, Sand Hill cranes, adult gator, turtle, red Shouldered Hawk, boat tailed grackle, great blue heron, adult gator, osprey nest. Merlin also identified fish crow, yellow rumped warbler.
