Last day on the UP. Visited Kitch-iti-Kipi, a nearby natural spring of crystal clear water. There is a boat which takes you across the pond where you can see the bottom 40' below. Beautiful! Met another traveling couple who recommended several things to see so we also went today to Fayette Historic State Park. Right on Lake Michigan. What a site- beautiful turquoise water, cool stones, nice sunny day. It was glorious. This is a deserted town which once was one of the upper penninsulas' most productive iron smelting operations. We did not tour the town, just collected rocks and enjoyed the lake. Lol. We have quite the rocks between Superior and Michigan!
