Drove today to Fort McCallister state park just below Savannah. Interesting drive-lots of newly cut fields, lots of fields of young pine trees, cotton fields and fields cleared for building. Logging is a huge income source for Georgia.

State park is beautiful! Lots of palmetto trees, lots of tall old pines and oaks and the Spanish moss is so very cool. Surrounded by salt marshes so I'm hoping for birds. Wildlife in the park is unafraid so able to get pics. See the deer and a raccoon! Here for 6 days. Love it!
