Went for a tour of a farm nearby that makes maple syrup. Super nice owners and super fun learning about the process. Rainy day so we didn't stay out long. They tap the trees in mid February and untap in April. Short season and most while battling snow. farm used to be dairy since 1907. Converted to sugaring 11 years ago. Also showed the old way with spout and bucket.

Traveled today to Cartooge Creek campground in Franklin NC. Long day- i didnt plan that one so good. Thru the Black Mountains and into The Great Smokies. Beautiful scenery. I drove for a little. High
